Astigmamatatism: Not being able to clearly see that everyone hates you because you have holes in your hands. (A Mikelyn and Michael collaboration) |

I'm not a hater, but I am unable to resist a straight line. Kelsey asked me tonight, "So where were you when Michael Jackson died?" and I blurted out "Standing over him holding a syringe." |

One of the great singers of the psychedelic era. |
| » Approximately twenty minutes of my life I'll never get back. |
Lets start with how your feeling right now? That's not a question. Bad start.
Yesterday night, what did you do? Watched part of the Jazz series. Slept.
Have you ever cheated on a test? I cheated on a pregancy test once.
What is your favorite color? Black, like your eye.
What color are your eyes? Hazel, with a dollop o' brown.
Do you think relationships are hard? They certainly are for me.
Do you think you have made a difference in anyone's life? Yeah. Sorry.
Has someone ever broken your heart? Naw, it's too squishy to break. It's been pretty badly bruised, though.
Has anyone lied to you today? I think one of my cats is totally having me on.
Honestly, if you could go back and change something in the past 6 months would you? Yes, I would have won all those scratch tickets.
Do you understand football? Um, what is the football saying?
At the moment do you terribly miss someone? "Terribly" makes it sound a bit angsty.
Would you ever live with anyone on your top friends? I'm gonna need a bigger house.
Do you think you can last in a relationship for 6 months or more? It's happening riiiiiight now.
Are you mad at someone right now? I'm getting kind of irritated at whoever wrote this quiz. Its my own fault for taking it, though, so don't worry.
Have you ever slept in the same bed as your #1 friend? Yes, we giggled, did each other's hair and talked about boys.
What’s going on with you tomorrow night? Hard to say, it hasn't happened yet.
What’s on your mind? Bone, skin and hair.
Like to cuddle? With whom?
What would you do if you found out the person you love was in a relationship? She is, with me! Silly quiz writer.
Do you believe that love lasts forever? It does, but its up to you what you do with it.
Who did you spend your summer with last year? Mikelyn and my cats. (to the tune of "Benny and the Jets")
Could you ever be friends with someone who hurt you badly? Like a really hard spanking, or a chainsaw attack?
What are you listening to right now? Some spooky ooky spacey ambienty music.
Where do you want to live when you're older? Older than what?
Do you mind sleeping on the floor? As long as there's a bed on it.
Do you like Red Bull or Monster better? Without vodka???
Do you like the weather now? I liked a few days ago much better.
Do you know anyone who smokes weed? No, I live on the moon.
How do you feel about the past? The present is constantly turning into it.
Think back to yesterday, what were you doing around this time? Snoring and drooling.
Do you ever apologize first? Yes. Sorry about that.
Anywhere you'd rather be right now? I like here, I just wish it was less humid.
Would you ever get a tattoo? Too late by three.
Is there one person in your life that can always make you smile? Miss Mikelyn is number one, guarenteed.
Did you kiss or hug anyone today? Little Otis and Billie Kitten have gotten smooches on their fuzzy heads.
What's something you really want right now, be honest? Air conditioning. There's many other things, but that's the most immediate thought.
How long does it take for you to fall asleep at night? I don't know, I'm asleep at the time.

| » I gotta move, AGAIN. |
Chris, my landlord, came over and gave me the news today that someone is buying the house. I was aware of this possibility, but had been hoping that it wouldn't come to pass. Unfortunately for me, the person involved has made a commitment to buy, and wants to move in August 1. Chris feels very bad about it, but the house has been a major money drain on him, and he couldn't refuse the offer under the circumstances, which I do understand. And before anyone asks, no, there was never a lease.
I'm heartbroken about it. I love living here, and love living downtown. Hopefully I can find another place here. Man, I wish I had more time than less than a month and a half, though.
I believe the word I'm looking for is "fuck." Ah well, par for the course lately...if ain't one thing, its both of 'em.

| » About Groovy Tuesday... |

What exactly is a Groovy Tuesday?
Groovy Tuesday is the continuation of a cosmic line of force that runs through the area of space-time currently identified as the Loft in downtown Flint on Tuesday nights from 9pm til 2am. At different points it was the same day or different days, and the same bar or different bars, or the same bar with different names. It has always, however, been groovy. An eclectic mixture of quality music from the distant past and the immediate future. Blues, Jazz, Retro, Alternative Rock, Reggae, Trip-hop, Alt Hip-hop, Electronica, Psychedelia, Alt Country, Soul, Disco, College Rock, Punk Rock, New Wave, Electro, Ambient House, Techno, Space Rock, Classic Rock, Rhythm and Blues, Rockabilly, Garage Rock, Funk, Ska, Glam Rock, and I could go on and on. All mixed together with groove, good intentions and positive vibrations.
It will be different every time. That much I can promise.
Who is Groovy Tuesday?
Groovy Tuesday is DJ Michael A, or has been for over 20 years in the downtown area. It is also Dusty Brill, who makes various liquids into magic. Most importantly, it is YOU, the open-minded and beautiful Groovy People. Without receptive antennae, this radio may as well be broadcasting static.
Where is Groovy Tuesday?
The Loft, on the bricks in downtown Flint, entrances on Saginaw Street and Buckham Alley.
Why is Groovy Tuesday?
Because there is so much of the same all over the place, and somebody needs to bring you something different. Because its important to be surprised sometimes. Because its fun. Because your friends are cool, open-minded and groovy too, and that's where they will be.
When is Groovy Tuesday?
Tuesday. Geez.

| » Science! |
So I was watching Billie, one of the New Kittens, ominously dragging yet another of my roomates socks around the corner into the laundry room, when it occured to me. The kittens are fascinated by socks, dragging them around the house like vanquished prey, and more often than not depositing them in my bedroom. I have not requested this behavior, so the question must be asked, why? My guess is this, either they believe that I have a foot fetish and are hoping to score points with the ol' dad, or that feet smell like mice. Seriously. I've never sniffed a rodent, at least not on purpose, and certainly not up close, but I would hazard a guess that the common household mouse smells like a human foot. Or maybe just Mari-Paige's feet. I am extremely curious about this phenomemon, but tragically not enough to test it. If there is anyone else, say a small group of interested college students, who would like to sniff a mouse and one of my roomate's socks, and can (by the way) provide a mouse for the experiment, I would be pleased to report on the findings. I'm sorry, but no financial compensation is available. Think, however, of the service you would be doing to Science!
